Our Firm’s Core Values
Trust: Our client relationships often begin largely on the basis of trust. Sharing your private and confidential financial information demands a relationship built on trust. We value that trust as much as our clients and go to great lengths to ensure it is well earned and deserved.
Service: Our product is service. Whether in the form of tax and accounting services, estate planning and business law recommendations, or investment planning and wealth management advice – service is our business and our goal is to deliver satisfaction.
Value: Our value is delivered through experience and expertise. In a competitive market place we have to provide value. Our considerable professional experience practicing as CPAs, attorneys, and advisors assures we have the expertise to create and deliver value in the services we provide.
Integrity: Our reputation is built on integrity. The trust is the result of delivering quality services for exceptional value. Quality advice based on professional experience, judgement, and integrity is what we expect for ourselves and what we expect to deliver to our clients. Our reputation and word of mouth is how we grow, and that depends on our integrity.
The unique perspective of three separate professional disciplines delivered with the consistency, quality, and simplicity that our clients have come to expect.
Your most important assets are centered around one thing: Your family.
So is Timpe.
A family-owned firm ourselves, we understand the importance of keeping your family and businesses legally and financially safe and secure.
That’s why we offer CPA, attorney and wealth management services under one roof. Coordinating the oversite of your legal and financial affairs can bring you true peace of mind about your family’s future.
Timpe CPAs, LLC
TIMPE grew from Art Jr’s desire to offer accounting services with integrity. Arthur Timpe Jr. purchased a small PA firm on the west side of Indianapolis in 1977. Art Timpe III and Gary grew up working part-time in the firm, and eventually become CPAs like their father – Gary joining the firm in 1995 and Art III in 2001. Today, if you visit the firm on a Saturday during tax season, you will see Art and Gary’s daughters following in their dads’ footsteps.
In a similar fashion, Larry January joined his father, Helvin January, in the firm in 1981, and was soon joined by his brother-in-law Andy Engel. When Larry’s father retired, the two launched their own firm to continue serving their clients. After nearly 35 successful years together, they joined Timpe late in 2015.
Today, Timpe CPAs provide closely-held business services, including:
We integrate these closely-held business services with our law firm’s business law practice, bringing you well-informed insight into which form of business entity is right for you, help with basic incorporation and LLC creation, and ongoing business management consultation.
We offer Individual tax services that include:
We integrate our tax services with our wealth management firm’s investment portfolio management services so you can build wealth tax efficiently in the accumulation years and withdraw, spend down and pass on your wealth tax to your loved ones in the distribution years.
Timpe Legal Services, LLC
As he served the individual and small-business clients of Timpe CPAs, LLC, Gary Timpe
realized that the CPA firm’s closely-held business tax and accounting services went hand in hand with closely-held business legal services, and the same was true with the individual client services. He started the law firm as an extension of those services in 2004, soon after graduating from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and passing the bar exam.
Today, Timpe attorneys work in tandem with our CPAs and wealth management advisors to deliver well-rounded professional advice to our clients. They offer counsel on the full range of small-business legal issues: working closely with our CPAs to determine the most tax-efficient business structure for each entrepreneur while ensuring solid legal liability protection at startup, and to evaluate tax structures and negotiate sales when a business ends.
For individuals, our estate planning practice helps clients legally document their wishes for the distribution of assets and belongings, from creating a simple will to establishing complex multiple trusts and family limited partnerships. Our underlying fundamentals are always the same: make sure every client’s wishes and instructions are clear, minimize taxes and maximizing the wealth passed on to the next generation.
Our law firm represents a number of sports and entertainment entities and individuals, from local music acts to professional athletes to automobile race teams.
Timpe Financial Advisory Services, LLC
Wealth Management & Investment Planning Services
Clients with tax planning and closely-held business service needs naturally must consider investment planning and wealth management. Art Timpe III, CPA, CFP®, launched our wealth management firm in 2001.
We provide customized investment portfolio management strategies by evaluating each client’s financial goals, investment time horizon, income and growth needs, and tolerance for market risk and volatility, then developing an investment portfolio specifically tailored to the client.
Our wealth management practice integrates with both the CPA firm’s tax planning services and the law firm’s estate planning services, so clients have the benefit of an investment advisor who understands their whole financial picture.
Our investment strategy is rooted in more than a half century of financial science that has identified the sources of investment returns. With sound diversification strategies and portfolios appropriately balanced in risk, we deliver realistic performance expectations for successful investment experiences.
